OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

1. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Create a video (2-minutes maximum) describing an instance when you felt comforted by or cared for by another person and what that experience or person meant to you. See Rule #3 for complete video requirements. Video submissions may be posted online during the program for public viewing. At the end of the entry period, judges will determine the top (8) entries which will be posted on www.VicksCaringTributes.com for visitors to vote to determine the Grand Prize winner.
   
   The video may contain the entrant only or the entrant and up to three other persons; however, it is not necessary for the entrant or any other person to appear in the video. If any other person(s) appear in the video, entrant will be required to submit a publicity release signed by that person in order for entrant’s video to be posted online in the video gallery for public viewing and/or if the video was taped by someone other than the entrant, entrant will be required to submit a publicity release signed by the videographer in order for entrant’s video to be posted online in the video gallery for public viewing. If any person or videographer is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence, release must be signed by his/her parent/legal guardian. A printable release form will be available online. Follow the directions on the release form to submit release(s) via fax or mail. Not all video submissions will be posted in the video gallery on www.VicksCaringTributes.com. It may take up to two weeks for a submission to be posted once submission and any required releases have been received. IMPORTANT: If entrant is selected as a Potential Finalist, any other person(s) appearing in the video will be required to sign a publicity release and/or if the video was taped by someone other than the entrant, videographer will be required to sign a publicity release.
2. ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open only to residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of Procter & Gamble, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible, nor are entrants who are professional or former professional writers who earn or earned a majority of their income via writing. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
3. TWO WAYS TO ENTER:
   • ONLINE: Beginning 12:00:00 ( noon ) ET on 11/12/07, visit www.VicksCaringTributes.com and follow the on-screen instructions to register. Once you have registered, you will receive an email to the email address you provided. Upon receipt of the email, click on the link contained in the email to confirm your registration/activate your account. Once you have confirmed your registration/activated your account, you may upload your video and enter it into the contest. See below for video requirements. Entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on 1/31/08.
   
   
   
   • AT EVENTS: Visit one of the “Vicks Comfort CAREVan” events beginning 11/10/07 and complete an Official Entry/Release Form and then be videotaped for up to 2 minutes describing an instance when you felt comforted by or cared for by another person and what that experience or person meant to you. You must follow the instruction of the Vicks representatives. See below for video requirements. Events are scheduled at Sponsor’s discretion; see event information posted online at www.VicksCaringTributes.com.
     
     NOTE: If you entered at an event and you wish to participate in the online voting, you will need to register online at www.VicksCaringTributes.com in order for you to be able to vote for videos online. Once you have registered, you will receive an email to the email address you provided. Upon receipt of the email, click on the link contained in the email to confirm your registration/activate your account. Once you have confirmed your registration/activated your account, you will be able to participate in the online voting.
   
   You may enter more than once; however, EACH VIDEO MUST BE DIFFERENT AND A COMPLETED ENTRY FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR EACH VIDEO ENTRY. Participants may not submit a video/entry for another person. All material submitted becomes property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit one Finalist video per person.
   
   By submitting entry, 1) entrant certifies that the entry he/she submitted is his/her own original work and he/she holds all rights to the submission, that the submission has not been previously published, has not won a previous prize or award and that he/she has followed the Official Rules of the Contest and 2) entrant hereby grants Sponsor the right to post submission online for public viewing.
   
   Video Requirements: The video may contain the entrant only or the entrant and up to three other persons; however, it is not necessary for the entrant or any other person to appear in the video. NO PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MAY APPEAR IN A VIDEO SUBMISSION. Only the first name of those appearing in the video should be included in the video; only the first name and relationship to entrant (i.e. mother, teacher, friend) of the person described in video should be included in the video. DO NOT include any personally identifiable information (i.e. last name, address, place of work etc.) of yourself, any other person(s) appearing in the video or the person described in the video. Video may include the Vicks logo or product; however, it is not required. Video submissions can be up to 2 minutes in length. If any video entry is longer than 2 minutes in length, only the first 2 minutes of the video will be judged. Video must utilize mov, wmv, .asp, avi, mpeg, mpg or flv formats only and be 100Mb or smaller. Video may be in color or black & white. Music, lyrics, sounds, props, or any other creative element used in the video must be entrant’s own original creative work and cannot have been previously published. SUBMISSION CANNOT CONTAIN ANY COPYRIGHTED MATERIALS, INCORPORATE OR REFERENCE ANYTHING THAT IS OWNED BY ANY THIRD PARTY OR ENTITY OR WOULD REQUIRE THE CONSENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY OR ENTITY IN ANY JURISDICTION. Submissions must be in English. Professional or studio videos are not eligible.
   
   Submission must be your original work that has not been previously published nor won a prize or award. Modifying, enhancing or altering a third party’s preexisting work does not qualify as Entrant’s original creation. Except as noted herein, the submission cannot contain any unacceptable clothing or adornments, or display any commercial/corporate advertising (including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, slogans, political, personal and religious statements) and they must not contain defamatory statements (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group); they must not include threats to any person, place, business, or group; they must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, firm, entity, and they must not in any way violate applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Submissions may not contain indecent behavior, profanities or obscenities, including but not limited to nudity, or pornography, and may not in any way disparage persons or organizations associated with Sponsor; Sponsor/judges reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in their sole opinion, refers, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon the Sponsor, the Contest or any other person or entity, or does not comply with these requirements or these Official Rules.  Submissions must be suitable for presentation in a public forum, in sole determination of judges and/or Sponsor. If Sponsor deems that the video submission does not comply with the Official Rules of the contest or if video depicts usage experiences that do not portray usage of the product in compliance with the Sponsor’s standards, including videos that depict usage in a manner inconsistent with Vicks Directions and Warning Labels, entrant’s video will not appear on www.VicksCaringTributes.com or be eligible to participate in the contest.
4. JUDGING: All eligible entries received will be preliminarily judged to determine the top 25 entries by a panel of Sponsor representatives. The top 25 entries will then be judged by a panel of experts under the supervision of D.L. Blair Inc., an independent judging organization, to determine (8) Finalists. All judging will be based on the following criteria: Uniqueness of Heartfelt Story–50%, Appropriateness of Submission to Theme–30%, Sincerity of Submission–20%. In the event of a tie, tied entries will be broken based on the highest score for Uniqueness of Heartfelt Story. Finalists will be notified by phone/mail/express delivery carrier.
5. ONLINE VOTING: Beginning 8:00:00 AM ET on 2/29/08 through 11:59:59 PM ET on 3/14/08, the (8) Finalists’ entries will be posted on www.VicksCaringTributes.com. During these dates, registered website visitors will be given the opportunity to select their favorite entry to determine the Grand, First and Second Prize winners by following the online instructions. Limit one vote per email address per day. If more than one vote is received per person per day, only the first vote received will be eligible. The Finalist entry that receives the highest number of online votes will be deemed the Grand Prize winning entry. In the event of a tie, tiebreaker will be based on the highest score for Uniqueness of Heartfelt Story as determined from the panel judging, per Rule #4. Winners will be notified by mail/express delivery carrier.
6. PRIZES: Eight (8) prizes, with a total approximate retail value of $14,000, will be awarded as follows: (1) Grand Prize: Winner will receive an 8-day/7-night “Comfort Getaway” trip for winner and a guest to the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, Falling Rock Lodge in Farmington, PA. Prize includes round-trip coach air transportation from major airport nearest winner’s home, 7-nights hotel accommodations (one room, double occupancy), rental car, $1,000 resort amenity credit and $2,000 spending money (awarded to winner). Winner will also receive a “Vicks Comfort Gift Set” which includes a blanket, aromatherapy candles, two ultra-plush bath robes and a selection of Vicks products (selection to be determined by Sponsor). (Approximate Retail Value: $10,000). Winner and guest are solely responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including but not limited to meals, additional transportation, souvenirs and other incidentals and items of a personal nature. The actual retail value of the prize will depend on winner's point of departure/return. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. Rental car is subject to additional restrictions set forth by car rental contract. (2) First Prizes–Each winner will receive a check in the amount of $1,000 and a “Vicks Comfort Gift Set” which includes a blanket, aromatherapy candles, two ultra-plush bath robes and a selection of Vicks products (selection to be determined by Sponsor). (Approximate Retail Value: $1,250 per prize). (5) Second Prizes–Each winner will receive a “Vicks Comfort Gift Set” which includes a blanket, aromatherapy candles, two ultra-plush bath robes and a selection of Vicks products (selection to be determined by Sponsor). (Approximate Retail Value: $250 per prize). Prizes consist of only those items specifically listed as part of the prizes. Limit one prize per person or household.
7. GENERAL RULES: Potential Finalists (or parent/legal guardian if potential Finalist is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility certifying that the submission is his/her own original work and he/she holds all rights to the submission and all elements therein, that the submission has not been previously published, has not won a previous prize or award and that he/she followed the Official Rules of the Contest and that he/she grants permission to post the entry submission online for the duration of the online voting period. Additionally, potential Finalists (or parent/legal guardian if potential Finalist is a minor) will be required to complete a Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release. If any other person(s) appear in the video, Finalist will be required to submit a Publicity Release signed by that person. If the video was taped by someone other than the Finalist, Finalist will also be required to submit a Publicity Release signed by the videographer. If any person or videographer is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence, release must be signed by his/her parent/legal guardian. All documents must be completed and returned within 5 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate Finalist may be selected, time permitting. Grand Prize winner’s traveling companion (or parent/legal guardian if traveling companion is a minor) must also complete and return a Release of Liability within 10-days of winner’s attempted notification. If winner is a minor, winner’s parent/legal guardian will be required to accompany winner on trip and will count as the winner’s guest. If a minor is selected as a traveling companion, winner must be his/her parent/legal guardian. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid photo ID) prior to departure. Travel must be completed within one year of notification. Travel is subject to availability and certain blackout dates may apply. No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Sponsor/judges reserve the right to reproduce the submissions in full or edit and enhance the submissions at their discretion. Sponsor is authorized to use submissions as it sees fit, including usage in advertising and online without compensation. By accepting prize, winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) agree to hold Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of prize. Winners (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor) assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use or redemption of any prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names and/or likenesses and/or entry submissions for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, including a winners’ list, unless prohibited by law. Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless from and against any and all liability and damages. By participating in this promotion, entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the judges’ decisions which are final. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of the Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes or in the announcement of the prizes.

NOTICE TO ONLINE ENTRANTS: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone/facsimile transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and all eligible online entries received prior to termination and all eligible entries received at events will be included in the judging. If technical malfunctions or suspect voting/irregularities corrupt the voting process, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award prizes based solely on the Finalists Judging scores or non-suspect votes. Any damage made to the Web Site will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of submitting entries/votes will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like methods of participation/voting will void all such submissions/votes by such methods.  Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation/voting of an individual/account holder if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
